A hand turned food mill, ideal of making smooth purees for young babies as it gets rid of tough fibres which are difficult to digest in foods like dried apricots and sweetcorn. It's also great for pureeing foods such as potato as pureeing in a blender breaks down the starches and produces a sticky texture that babies find hard to swallow. Simply remove the metal disk. Pull down the base, spoon in the food, re-insert the disk, turn the handle and push down. The food will be pushed through the holes and come out lovely and smooth. It comes with a handy spatula for spooning the food into your baby's bowl. It does not come with the 2 pink bowls in the piccie above and I've just had a wee peek in the box and without pulling it all out I'd say the grinder is the same colour.
